How Does Soprano ICE Platinum Work?

Soprano ICE Platinum utilizes a laser that targets and destroys unwanted hair follicles. The laser emits a beam of light absorbed by the melanin, or pigment, in the hair. Once absorbed, the heat from the laser damages the hair follicle, impairing future growth. What Does Soprano ICE Platinum Feel Like?

Is There Specific Before and Aftercare with Soprano ICE Platinum?

Your technician will advise you to shave the day before your Soprano ICE Platinum treatment. This ensures that the laser’s energy is absorbed deep in the hair follicle and does not remain on the surface of your skin.

During your initial consultation, we will discuss certain medications and skin care products that may be contraindicated to your treatment, such as photosensitizing antibiotics and topical retinol.

After your Soprano ICE Platinum treatment, you must wear a physical SPF 30 or higher on any exposed treatment areas for the entirety of your treatment course. You should also avoid heated treatments, saunas, and direct sunlight for at least ten days.

When Do I See Results with Soprano ICE Platinum Laser Hair Reduction?

After your Soprano ICE Platinum treatment, your skin may be slightly red and sensitive. Keep the area cool and protect it from direct sunlight to avoid complications such as hyperpigmentation. Over the next two weeks, your next active growth cycle will begin to push out the treated and destroyed hair follicles. You may see some of this, but generally, the shedding process happens naturally as we shower and shave.
